Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist the SLP with speech and language screenings without clinical interpretation.
• Assist the SLP during assessments of students exclusive of administration and/or interpretation.
• Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP.
• Provide guidance and treatment via telepractice to students selected by the supervising SLP as appropriate.
• Document student performance for the SLP to use and report results.
• Program and instruct the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices when needed.
• Collaborate with students, families, and school staff on communication strategies.
• Assist with clerical duties as directed by the SLP.
• Advocate for students and families to promote access to participation in communication.
• Assist SLP with documenting and creating IEPs.
