Job summary

Visiting Angels Greenville & Anderson, SC is seeking in-home caregivers to provide compassionate, one-on-one care for seniors in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties. No CNA license required; positions include part-time and varied shifts with training and support from a friendly team.

Caregivers will assist with mobility, personal care, medication reminders, light meals, transportation, and light housekeeping, while maintaining dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance.
• Ability to follow care plans for the client; flexible scheduling.
• 1 year of in-home caregiver experience preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client.
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench and walker (training is available)
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
