RESPITE CARE OF SAN ANTONIO is seeking a PRN Assistant Teacher to support Site-Based Childcare at multiple locations in San Antonio, TX. This part-time role offers flexible days and hours, with shifts across Catholic Charities, United Way of San Antonio, and SAMMS Ministries.

Pay is listed as $15.00 per hour. You will assist with implementing plans, supervising children, and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and pass background checks (DPS, Health, DFPS) and a negative drug test.
• High School Diploma or GED required; college courses preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in developmental disabilities and direct care/childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement plans designed by the teacher and assist with daily schedule.
• Assist with arranging space, equipment and materials in classrooms.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, child-centered environment.
• Support development of age-appropriate skills and activities.
• Observe and document children's progress and communicate with Lead Teacher.
