The City of Evanston Parks & Recreation Department is seeking an energetic, dependable, and engaging Part-Time SilverSneakers Instructor to lead group fitness classes for older adults. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping older adults stay active, healthy, and connected through safe, enjoyable, and accessible exercise.
The instructor will create a welcoming environment where participants of varying fitness levels feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to participate.

Instructors should be comfortable teaching at different locations as program needs and schedules change.
Part-Time | Class-Based Position
Most classes will be scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Class days, times, and locations will vary based on programming needs and instructor availability. Flexibility to teach at multiple City of Evanston facilities is preferred.
Work is performed in a fitness center environment. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and demonstration of exercises. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and assist clients with equipment as needed.
