Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent with options for further education as listed.
• Ability to interpret between sign language and English in classroom settings.
• Experience or training in supporting hearing-impaired students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign to voice and voice to sign interpreting between students and teachers using ASL/PSE/SEE.
• Integrate hearing-impaired students into classroom activities using sign language and other methods.
• Provide instructional support and assist students in developing communication skills.
• Assist teachers by interpreting explanations and taking notes as needed.
• Support safety, discipline, and effective communication in the classroom.
