Job summary

ZP Better Together, LLC is a leading provider of communication services for the deaf and hard of hearing communities, delivering video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting to meet diverse customer needs.

Under supervision, interpreters provide high-quality American Sign Language interpreting via video in a call center and on-site, requiring fluent ASL and English, with adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Understanding of Deaf culture.
• Adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• 3–5 years interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials if applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.
• Exhibit punctuality and preparedness for shifts, respectful and collaborative interaction with colleagues and supervisors, and timely and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Demonstrate ability to adapt to new technologies and multitask with video-based tools.
• Travel independently when required, with vehicle access and valid insurance.
