Job summary

ZP Better Together, LLC is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting via video, remotely, and onsite at various customer locations. The role requires fluent ASL and English, adherence to NAD-RID standards, and a commitment to professional conduct.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and a stable 36-hour workweek. The interpreter will participate in new hire training and must pass the company’s skills assessment.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Thorough knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials if applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with a respectful, professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Adapt to new technologies and multi-task effectively.
• Participate in professional development trainings.
