Job summary

York College of Pennsylvania Inc. is seeking part-time Shuttle Bus Drivers to operate college vehicles and provide campus shuttle services.

The current shift is 12-4pm on weekdays during academic sessions, with occasional weekends for events, serving Main, West and North Campuses. Responsibilities include transporting students safely, maintaining bus cleanliness and fuel, and performing routine service runs to support campus operations.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months professional driving experience preferred.
• Must pass a DOT required physical.
• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record is required.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the college community.

Responsibilities

• Transport students back and forth to/from Main, West and North Campuses 85%.
• Check bus for cleanliness and fuel at the end of each shift; refuel as necessary 10%.
• Perform special driving assignments and service station trips for oil changes/repairs 2.5%.
• Perform other duties as assigned 2.5%.

DESCRIPTION

Part Time Shuttle Bus Drivers are responsible for driving college-owned vehicles as a routine function. They run Monday through Friday, the shift currently available is 12-4pm during academic sessions only, with occasional weekends for special events. Drivers will provide shuttle bus services for students traveling back and forth from to/from Main, West, and North Campuses.

OUTCOME

Students are delivered safely to and from Main, West and North Campuses.

• Transport students back and forth to/from Main, West and North Campuses 85%
• Check bus for cleanliness and fuel at the end of each shift; clean and refuel as necessary 10%
• Perform special driving assignments and drive the shuttle to service stations for oil changes and repairs 2.5%
• Perform other duties as assigned 2.5%

• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record is required

• Knowledge of safe driving practices
