Job summary

Shoe Sensation, Inc. in Dixon, IL is seeking a 2nd Assistant Manager - Part Time to lead the sales team and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This entry-level management role focuses on coaching the staff, selling footwear, and handling daily store operations alongside the manager on duty.

You will greet customers, guide shopping, process sales and deposits, restock, and keep the store neat. The position offers growth within a company that promotes internally and emphasizes teamwork

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and personal transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Wants to teach others how to sell and learn how to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store, knowing that there may be times that you are alone in the store.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Can kneel, twist, bend, climb a ladder, reach, stoop and lift 25-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet our customers and guide them through their shopping experience.
• Sell Shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales in computer, take cash/run credit cards.
• Help re‑stock the sales floor.
• Keep things neat and clean in the store.
• Teach others how to do all the things above.
• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives.
