S&S Activewear is seeking a Part-Time Shipping Team Lead (Sat-Sun) in Lockport, IL to support the Shipping manager and guide the distribution center team. You will help ensure safe, accurate, and efficient order processing and inventory handling in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This role pays $23.43 per hour with benefits after 0–90 days. Candidates must be 18+, English-speaking, able to lift up to 50 lbs, follow detailed instructions, and work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership on process improvements and support the DC.
• Monitor orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping to meet safety and quality standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock chasers.
• Follow KPI targets for safety, quality, production and efficiency.
• Record discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
• Assist in training new and current employees and maintain DC organization.
• Maintain adherence to SOPs and safety rules; act professionally in a safety-focused environment.
• Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.

The Shipping Team Lead will ensure compliance of the procedures, communicate goals, safety practices, and provide ongoing guidance and support to the employee as they complete their action plans. All S&S Activewear employees must adhere and enforce the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook. The Team Lead at S&S Activewear provides guidance and direct feedback to all team members within assigned tasks. They ensure that proper processes are followed and that errors are addressed quickly.
