Job summary

Kimball Midwest is seeking a Part-Time Shipper for our Savannah, GA Distribution Center. The ideal candidate is hardworking and motivated, with the ability to read and write small letters and numbers and perform basic arithmetic.

You will handle daily shipping operations, pack and ship orders within the 40 lb weight limit, inspect products for damage, and assist with freight orders including hazardous materials. Flexibility and a strong work ethic are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs the day-to-day operations of the shipping department.
• Packs and ships completed sales orders using the correct number of boxes and ensuring weight does not exceed 40 lb.
• Maintains the quality of the product by checking for damaged bags or boxes.
• Assists with shipping Freight orders, including Heavy Duty shipments and end-of-day for Next Day Air shipments, including Hazardous Material.
• Performs daily maintenance to sales orders to ensure correct quantities are shipped.
