Job summary

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is seeking a Mid-Shift Shipper for our Columbus, OH Distribution Center. In this role, you will perform day-to-day shipping operations, pack and ship orders, and help ensure on-time deliveries.

The position offers a stable schedule from 11:00am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday, at $20 per hour, with benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, paid

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; perform arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to concentrate and communicate with management and co-workers regarding a shipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions that pertain to each shipment.
• Ability to lift objects weighing seventy (70) pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day operations of the shipping department.
• Packs and ships completed sales orders using correct box count and 40 lb weight limit.
• Maintains product quality by checking for damaged bags or boxes.
• Assists with shipping Freight orders, Heavy Duty shipments, and end-of-day Next Day Air shipments including Hazardous Material.
• Performs daily maintenance on sales orders to ensure correct quantities are shipped.

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Mid-Shift Shipper for our Columbus, OH Distribution Center.

Responsibilities:

• Performs the day-to-day operations of the shipping department.
• Packs and ships completed sales orders by using the correct number of boxes and stuffing not to exceed the 40 lb. weight standard set up by the shipping manager.
• Maintains the quality of the product by looking for damaged bags or boxes.
• Helps ship Freight orders and other special orders including Heavy Duty shipments and end of day for Next Day Air shipments, including Hazardous Material.
• Performs daily maintenance to sales orders to assure the correct quantity goes out including incompletes.

Qualifications:

• This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• This position requires the ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers regarding a shipment.
• This position requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions that pertain to each shipment.

• This position requires a strong work ethic and some schedule flexibility.

Additional Information:

The pay rate is $20 per hour

The hours are 11:00am - 7:30pm, Monday through Friday.
