Job summary

Our Saviour’s Community Services (OSCS) seeks a part-time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for shelter residents in a 20–24 hour/week schedule. You’ll plan menus with staff and volunteers, manage food orders, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen on site in Minneapolis.

You will work with the Shelter Team to ensure meals reflect the dignity of OSCS clients, support volunteer meal groups, and follow state and city food safety guidelines while keeping inventory accurate.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass background checks
• Non-profit/human services experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan weekly meal menus with input from staff and volunteers.
• Track pantry, refrigerator, and freezer supply weekly.
• Maintain organized and accurate food inventory logs.
• Place and receive food orders (with Shelter Manager approval).
• Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator to schedule and support volunteer meal groups.
