Job summary

Trek Store North County in San Marcos, CA is seeking a Part-Time Service Technician/Advisor. You’ll troubleshoot bike repairs, service a range of bikes on site, and install accessories customers choose for their new bike.

You’ll also be first to work with brand new models and build relationships with customers, earning their trust to keep gear running smoothly. The role emphasizes hospitality and top-notch communication, with opportunities to learn and grow under the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous customer-focused service experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and listening skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced bike shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair bikes on-site across various models.
• Service bikes and install accessories chosen by customers.
• Engage with customers to evaluate issues and recommend repairs.
• Be the face of the Service Department when the Manager is unavailable.

This job is all about caring for bikes so their owners love riding them. You’ll troubleshoot repairs and service all kinds of bikes on the spot and install the awesome accessories customers select for their new bike! You’ll also be the first to have your hands on brand new models before they hit the sales floor. Most importantly, you’ll build relationships with people who trust you to keep their gear running flawlessly. This role closely supports the Service Manager. When the Service Manager is not available, you are the face of the department to customers.We’re looking for a teammate with stellar customer service chops and a willingness to learn. Because you’ll constantly be speaking with customers to evaluate issues and recommend repairs, we value fantastic hospitality skills above prior shop experience.
