Job summary

Atlantic Staffing Consultants is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative / Service Dispatcher for a client in the Raleigh area. This part-time position supports a busy plumbing, HVAC, and electrical service team, coordinating technicians, scheduling service calls, and delivering excellent customer service.

The role is temp-to-hire with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and a pay rate of $18–$22 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

Previous customer service and/or service dispatch experience.
Experience with maintenance scheduling or service agreements strongly preferred.
Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or other home-service industry experience preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to prioritize urgent requests and adapt to changing schedules.
Comfortable using scheduling software, CRM systems, and computers.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to remain professional in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming customer calls and respond to service requests professionally.
Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate service technicians.
Manage service calls from initial booking through completion.
Coordinate maintenance agreements, preventive maintenance, and recurring service visits.
Communicate appointment times, technician arrivals, and service updates to customers.
Prioritize emergency and time-sensitive service requests.
Maintain accurate work orders, customer records, and service notes.
Follow up on open service calls, estimates, and customer concerns.
Coordinate with technicians, service managers, and office staff.
Help maximize technician productivity and minimize scheduling gaps.
