Job summary

Ridgeview Health Center invites a part-time Server / Diet Aide to join our compassionate nutrition services team. You will set up meal trays, portions of therapeutic diets, and assist with dining room operations while taking resident meal orders in a courteous manner.

We value empathy for residents, reliable teamwork, and strong customer service. Training is provided; a food handler card is preferred, and a work permit may be required for those under 18.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with and have empathy for the elderly.
• Excellent customer service and listening abilities.
• Be reliable, organized and a team player.
• Food handler card (obtainable through community)
• Six months’ experience as a diet aide or diet clerk in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required. On‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to understand instructions in English and perform basic arithmetic.

Part Time Sunday, 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday and Tuesday 3:30pm-7:30pm

Part Time Wednesday-Saturday 3:30pm-7:30pm

The Server/Nutrition Services Diet Aide is responsible for meal tray set-up and the preparation/portioning of therapeutic diets for the skilled nursing tray line in accordance with physician orders and posted therapeutic diet menus. Assists with the set-up of the assisted living restaurant style dining room prior to meal service and takes resident meal orders in a courteous manner.
