Job summary

The Clubs at St James, located in Southport, NC, is seeking a Part-Time Server to join Troon, a global leader in golf and community management. You will greet guests, describe specials, take orders, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The role includes bar training, POS handling, and adherence to safety standards. Experience in bartending is a plus; a high school diploma or GED is required, with related experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Bartending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day and answers questions regarding menu items.
• Takes and delivers food and beverage orders.
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties.
• Sets up and breaks down golf stations each shift.
• Handles checks and cash transactions using the POS system.
• Follows established service and greeting standards.
• Performs tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Cross-trained in bartending service.
• Adheres to safe work practices.
• Valid driver license required for range ball picker and golf cart operation.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Education

High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience
