Job summary

Presbyterian Senior Services in New York City is seeking a Community Social Worker to coordinate supportive services for older adults across its centers. This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Catering Manager and focusing on transportation, meal delivery, and program support.

Responsibilities include pickups, safe transport of PSS property, maintaining vehicles, assisting in meal packaging and janitorial tasks, and documenting mileage and timesheets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Experience working with Older Adults preferred.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
• A valid NYS Driver’s License.
• Three years driving experience.
• Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Pickup meals and items to and from PSS various centers.
• Responsible the safe transportation of PSS property.
• Keep and maintain and clean/ sanitary vehicle.
• Bring meals and necessary items inside PSS various centers.
• Assist in the packaging of meals.
• Assist in providing janitorial services at our catering facility, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dishes and stocking of items.
• Providing and collecting necessary paperwork across PSS various centers.
• Complete and provide mileage log and timesheets to supervisor.
• Assist with programming as needed.
• Comply with PSS Personnel Policy & DFTA Regulations.
• Attend Supervision and Team Meetings when applicable.
• Communicate with supervisor and other staff in a timely fashion and meet all required deadlines.
• Actively pursue and take full advantage of opportunities for professional growth and development. Follow and subscribe to professional development resources (i.e. e-newsletters, professional social media, national aging websites, etc.)
• Additional duties as directed by Supervisor
