Job summary

EAC Network is seeking a part-time Driver to support the Hempstead Senior Community Service Center. You will transport elderly participants, maintain safety protocols, and help with meals and activities, reporting to the Center Manager.

Requirements include a valid NY CDL Class B with passenger endorsement, yearly defensive driving updates, and strong communication with seniors. Position offers a stable schedule and supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid NY CDL Class B with passenger endorsement, no suspensions.
• Defensive driving course completed every 3 years.
• Ability to read maps or GPS and assist elderly participants.
• Clear communications with seniors and complete required paperwork daily.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants to and from the Hempstead SCSC.
• Ensure safety and seatbelt use during trips.
• Maintain program vehicles and report issues to the Center Manager.
• Keep mileage logs and transportation lists up to date.
• Assist with meals, kitchen tasks, and daily activities setup.
• Adhere to agency policies and may travel to other locations as needed.
