Job summary

UnityPoint Health's UnityPoint Clinic- PACE is seeking a Part Time Driver to transport participants to appointments and activities, assist with mobility, and ensure comfort and safety. This role requires High School diploma, valid driver's license with Chauffer endorsement if needed, BCLS within 30 days, and a good driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent work experience).
• Valid driver's license with Chauffer's Endorsement if determined necessary by Market; good driving record expected.
• Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for PACE participants to appointments and program activities while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Assist participants with mobility needs, including wheelchair transport, ambulation, transfers, and home access.
• Monitor participant well-being, communicate health or home condition changes, respond to emergencies, and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Follow transportation schedules, safety procedures, and traffic laws; work independently and with the care team.
• Maintain vehicles in safe, clean, ready-to-operate condition through daily inspections, fueling, and safety checks.
• Monitor vehicle performance, report maintenance needs, and support reliable transportation across the PACE program.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as needed.
