Job summary

UnityPoint Clinic- PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is seeking a Driver - PRN/As Needed to transport participants to appointments and activities in Sioux City, IA. You will assist with mobility, monitor wellbeing, and help deliver supplies while upholding safety and compassion for seniors.

The role emphasizes dependable transportation, excellent customer service, and teamwork within the PACE program.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with Chauffeur’s Endorsement if required, and clean driving record.
• IA/IL mandatory reporter trainings within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for PACE participants to appointments and activities.
• Assist participants with mobility needs, including wheelchair transport and transfers.
• Monitor well-being, report changes, respond to emergencies, and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Follow schedules and safety procedures, work independently and with the care team.
• Keep vehicles clean and ready, perform daily inspections and basic maintenance.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed.

UnityPoint Clinic- PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly)

Driver - PRN/As Needed

Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

In this role, you will transport participants to appointments and program activities, assist with ensuring their comfort and safety, and help deliver supplies and equipment as needed. Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for PACE participants to appointments and program activities while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Assist participants with mobility needs, including wheelchair transport, ambulation, transfers, and home access.
• Monitor participant well-being, communicate changes in health or home conditions, respond appropriately to emergencies, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Follow transportation schedules, safety procedures, and all traffic laws while working independently and collaboratively with the care team.
• Maintain vehicles in a safe, clean, and ready-to-operate condition through daily inspections, fueling, and routine safety checks.
• Monitor vehicle performance, report maintenance needs, and support reliable transportation services across the PACE program.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School graduate/GED required, or equivalent work experience.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license (Chauffer's Endorsement for IA license if determined necessary by Market), and good driving record required.
• IA Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training in state(s) where providing care required within 60 days of hire.
