Job summary

Solera Evanston is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Driver to transport residents to shopping, appointments, and community events. You will operate a passenger bus safely and assist residents on and off the vehicle, including mobility aids, while upholding our compassionate care standards.

This role emphasizes dependable, friendly service and requires a high school diploma and at least one year of bus-driving experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; at least one year of bus-driving experience.
• Prior work with older adults is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with genuine care for seniors and families.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a passenger bus for daily and weekly routes.
• Assist residents on/off the bus using wheelchair lift or steps.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Keep the bus clean inside and out and dispose of trash.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures to protect passengers.
• Engage warmly with residents and report concerns to management.
• Support special events and run errands for the community.
