Job summary

The Consortium is seeking a part-time Technology Trainer to empower older adults through virtual and in-person tech instruction. You will deliver OATS curriculum, guide learners in using email, social media, online banking, and digital tools, and act as a brand ambassador for Senior Planet and OATS.

Strong communication and patience are essential; travel to community centers may be required. Commitment to social change and community support is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Excellent speaking and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English; Spanish a plus.
• Experience teaching adults, seniors, or teens preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows and iOS; familiarity with social media and common devices.
• Willingness to travel to senior/community centers as needed, when safe.

Responsibilities

• Teach technology courses virtually and in-person using the OATS curriculum.
• Create a comfortable and supportive learning environment.
• Provide updates to Senior Planet hotlines on center activities.
• Make outbound calls to Senior Planet members.
• Represent and promote Senior Planet culture and opportunities to participants.
• Engage with OATS staff and provide curriculum feedback.
• Coordinate with site staff for visits and graduations.
• Submit paperwork promptly and collect surveys.
• Enter data into Salesforce; participate in trainer meetings and trainings.
