Finance Pals is seeking experienced tax professionals to support trusts and estates (1041), nonprofits (990), and high-net-worth individual returns (1040). This role offers part-time, remote work with autonomy and a flexible schedule, plus the option to keep your own practice alongside ours.

Ideal candidates have CPA or EA credentials with an active PTIN and familiarity with ProConnect and other tax software. AI-assisted research and drafting skills are a bonus, though not required.

Qualifications

• Experience with 1041, 990 (including 990-T) or higher net worth 1040 returns.
• CPA or EA with active PTIN preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted research and drafting tools is a plus.

Finance Pals provides bookkeeping, tax and CFO help for startups and small business clients. We all wanted more than traditional jobs offered, so we built flexible, remote work that leaves room for life beyond work.

We're adding experienced tax people for trusts and estates (1041), nonprofits (990) and higher net worth individual returns (1040). Some of you are running your own firm and want a few more clients without the billing and admin. Some of you want to scale back or want part-time work around family. All of you are welcome to apply!

What we're looking for

• Experience with 1041, 990 (including 990-T) or higher net worth 1040 returns
• CPA or EA preferred, with an active PTIN
• Intuit ProConnect is a nice to have; other professional tax software is fine if you learn quickly
• Bonus: tax planning, 1120, 1120S, 1065, Delaware and other state returns
• Bonus: comfort with AI tools (for example ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot) for research, drafting and summarizing, plus the judgment to check their output. Not required.
