Res Consultant Group / Recruiting Edge Staffing is seeking a Remote Tax Manager at a modern accounting firm to deliver advisory and tax services with concierge-level service. Fully paperless, best-of-breed technology, no time tracking.

As a trusted advisor you will lead tax engagements, manage quarterly projections and tax returns for diverse clients, coach associates, and continuously improve tax processes while staying responsive to client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Tax.
• CPA or CPA candidate (REQUIRED).
• 6+ years working in public accounting (REQUIRED).
• Experience in a client-facing role communicating with business leaders via email, phone, and video calls.
• Tech-forward; ability to learn new software and comfortable using technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality tax compliance and consulting services to a growing client base.
• Manage preparation and delivery of quarterly tax projections and ad hoc client requests.
• Facilitate and manage preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and timely submissions.
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures.
• Delight customers with expert guidance and support.
• Be available to work between normal business hours to be responsive to client requests.

Job Description

Remote Tax Manager will lead tax engagements and serve as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients. Work with a range of clients, including rapidly growing businesses, successful entrepreneurs, and family offices, communicating regularly to ensure they are taken care of and positioned for financial success.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality tax compliance and consulting services to a growing client base
• Managing the preparation and delivery of quarterly tax projections and ad hoc client requests
• Facilitating and managing the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and the accurate, timely submission of all tax filings
• Finding and implementing opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures
• Delighting our customers with expert guidance and support
• Available to work between the normal business day (ex. 9am to 5pm) to be responsive to client requests

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Tax
• CPA or CPA candidate (REQUIRED)
• 6+ years (minimum) working in public accounting (REQUIRED)
• Experience working in a client-facing role, communicating with business leaders via email, phone, and video calls
• Tech-forward; ability to learn new software and comfortable using technology in general
• Independent worker
• Ability to coach and train associates
