Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, the region's leading behavioral health provider, seeks a Medical Director to lead medical supervision across SUD programs. This role collaborates with the SUD Leadership Team to uphold best practices and ensure optimal patient care.

The position is for 20–25 hours per week with a pay range of $100,000 to $137,000 annually. Candidates must hold a Massachusetts MD license, be board-certified in a relevant field, and demonstrate strong leadership and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years leadership experience
• Massachusetts medical license required
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, or related field
• Must possess Massachusetts MD license
• Controlled substance registration (DEA)
• Two years of sobriety preferred
• Knowledge of quality assurance and CARF standards

Responsibilities

• Provide site-specific medical supervision and leadership for BHN's SUD programs
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care
• Ensure compliance with facility standards and regulations (e.g., CARF, DPH, DEA)
• Respond to on-call consultations; support admissions and medication protocols
• Educate and mentor medical providers and trainees in addiction medicine
