Job summary

StoryPoint is seeking a Dietary Aide for part-time shifts 6:00 am–2:00 pm or 4:00 pm–7:30 pm to support resident dining. You will prepare and plate meals, assist staff, ensure food safety and sanitation, and help maintain daily logs and kitchen cleanliness.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, ability to work independently, and good communication, with opportunities to grow in a caring, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to independently manage meal service for 20 residents.
• Some food service experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle, transport and plate food for residents, guests and employees.
• Plate food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain sanitation and proper temperature of served food.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow food rotation policies.
• Wash, sanitize and store dishes and utensils.
• Report equipment issues to the executive chef.
• Promote positive relations with residents and visitors.
• Maintain safety and universal precautions.
