Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in Missouri seeks a part-time Driver to transport residents to activities and appointments, ensuring safety and comfort. You’ll assist with mobility, secure wheelchairs, and keep vehicles clean and ready while complying with DOT rules and Cedarhurst standards.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, with preference for public transportation experience and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of public transportation experience preferred, especially in a senior living setting.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate Cedarhurst vehicles.
• Must be over 23 to operate a Cedarhurst 15-passenger van.
• Must hold and maintain an active, valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based platforms, EHR systems, and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle according to assigned schedule.
• Assist passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs during transport.
• Operate radio to communicate with base or other vehicles.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubrication, and accessories.
• Meet all DOT requirements.
• Communicate with residents’ families about care and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with staff and management; handle conflicts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
