Job summary

Oakmont of Valencia, part of Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Class B License Driver for weekend and Saturday/Sunday shifts from 9:00am to 5:30pm. The role focuses on safe driving of community vehicles and resident supervision during outings, with a strong emphasis on safety and service.

Requirements include a minimum age of 21, a High School diploma, and a Class B/C license with Passenger Endorsement. Prior driving experience and excellent communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB.
• For health and safety, vaccination/testing/PP E compliance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off-of-community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving; maintain punctual and safe transport.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
