Oakmont Senior Living in Santa Clarita, CA, seeks a Part-Time Driver (Class B) to safely operate community vehicles and supervise residents during outings. The role supports activities, loads residents, and ensures safety for all riders.

Requirements include 21+, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class B/C license with Passenger Endorsement, and 2 years driving experience. Excellent customer service and clear communication are essential; background/health checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive a bus.
• Prefer two years of driving experience transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, and resident appointments.
• Assist with safe loading of residents and belongings onto/off vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating vehicles.
• Comply with vehicle inspection and driving standards; be punctual and safe in transporting residents.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and within the community.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and guests per safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
