Discovery Senior Living in North Port, FL is seeking a part-time Cook to enrich residents' lives through delicious, well-presented meals. You will follow menu cycles, use standardized recipes, and maintain a warm, home-like dining experience for every resident.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork. You will prepare a variety of menu items, ensure quality and portion control, and support a positive dining environment on weekends and holidays as part of a committed culinary team.

Formación

• Experience in senior living or similar environment.
• Knowledge of production methods, portion control, and food safety.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work weekends as part of the schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare hot and cold items on grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line.
• Follow recipes to ensure proper portioning, taste, and presentation of food.
• Taste and check food for quality and adherence to culinary standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep and service areas.
• Support a safe, sanitary kitchen and maintain temperature logs and storage.
• Collaborate with culinary team to create a great dining experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
