Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a part-time Cook at our North Port, FL community to prepare meals, follow standardized recipes, and maintain a safe, clean kitchen. You’ll contribute to a home-like dining experience for residents and work with a collaborative culinary team.

Experience in senior living preferred; strong organization, communication, and teamwork are essential. Weekend availability is required as part of the regular schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living or similar environment preferred.
• Knowledge of production methods, portion control, and food safety/handling preferred.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills, able to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Weekend availability as part of the regular schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of hot and cold menu items following recipes.
• Ensure proper portioning, taste, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly kitchen environment.
• Follow food safety guidelines and temperature logs.
• Collaborate with culinary team to deliver a quality dining experience for residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
