Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment.
• Maintain compassion and dignity toward residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Adhere to attendance policies and terms and conditions in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain high standards in caring for residents and their families.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
• In exigent circumstances, may be subject to call back during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activities to engage residents in line with Viva Senior Living’s philosophies.
• Conduct activities for residents and visiting family as directed by the Activity Director.
• Uphold morale by offering diverse activities with adequate supervision for each event.
• Inform residents of upcoming activities via the posted schedule.
• Distribute the daily activity schedule according to community protocol.
• Reach out to residents confined to their rooms with one-on-one entertainment options.
• Assist in planning outings to meet various resident needs.
• Accompany residents to group events and houses of worship by bus, assisting on/off the bus as needed.
• Be innovative and adaptable to changing day-to-day circumstances.
• Maintain an engaging, outgoing persona and keep records of community services and materials.
