Commonwealth-Senior-Livin in Radford, VA is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Resident Programs team in planning and delivering engaging programs for residents. This role includes transportation for residents and coordinating daily social and physical activities in a compliant, caring environment.

Pay is $15-$17 per hour for part-time work, with Tuesday shifts and rotating days and weekends. Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong computer skills, and a clean driving

Qualifications

• High school degree; college experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in a senior living environment strongly preferred.
• Two years’ experience in activities strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge.
• Must have a clear and insurable driving record with a valid license and willingness to drive a passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Program team with planning, developing, and preparing a variety of exercises, social, recreational and educational events.
• Conduct transportation for residents, including medical transportation.
• Maintain knowledge of local communities, services, and events to incorporate into activity schedules.
• Establish a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Promote teamwork and monitor activities with other disciplines as necessary.
• Evaluate and adjust activities to maintain quality and consistency for residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
