Job summary

Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections Memory Care in Bloomington, IL is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents with a 24–29 hour work week. You will lead activities, coordinate diverse recreational options with supervision, and craft programs for residents including those confined to rooms.

Weekends are required and some days may involve driving the company vehicle to events or activities. The role includes benefits like insurance, PTO accrual from day one, life and disability

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts.
• Weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned activity programs.
• Offers adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with supervision for each activity.
• Develops programs for residents including those confined to their rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents resulting in program participation.
• Informs residents of upcoming activities and maintains a current schedule of events.
• Greeting new residents and helping them engage with others.
• Plans parties and activities, decorates the community for seasons/holidays, and plans monthly birthday celebrations.
• Supports census-building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activities and participation per state law.
• May drive company vehicle to destinations if required.
• May perform other duties as needed.
