Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Sr. Consultant, Geologist for our Rancho Cucamonga, CA office. This part-time, flex role focuses on developing client bases in hydro/power markets, coordinating with senior geologists and engineers, and delivering high-quality geological reports.

You will oversee budgets, provide technical leadership, and mentor staff while ensuring QA/QC and regulatory compliance. Advanced geology expertise and field techniques are essential.

Qualifications

• BS and/or MS degree in Geology or related Earth Science.
• Professional Geologist (PG) required; Engineering Geologist (CEG) license preferred.
• 20+ years of professional geotechnical consulting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop client base in the hydro/generation power market.
• Coordinate with senior geologists, engineers, staff and clients.
• Prepare scope of work and fee estimates; write technical reports.
• Mentor/direct staff in field/office work.
• Manage project budgets and schedules.
