Qualifications

• Must obtain accredited food handler certification within 60 days (State guidelines).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dining room is spotless and set for meals and events.
• Greet residents and guests and seat them comfortably.
• Take food orders, relay to kitchen, and deliver meals promptly.
• Ensure order accuracy and monitor food quality and presentation.
• Respond to resident and guest requests to enhance dining experience.
• Pour and refill drinks in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove walkers from the dining room and return after meals for safety.
• Explain menu options to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community emergency response team.
• Maintain professional appearance per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.
