Rest Haven in York, PA seeks a Resident Activities Assistant / Recreation Therapy Assistant to support residents with engaging programs. The role runs 9:30am to 3:30pm, two to three days weekly, with a 30-minute lunch deduction.

The position is paid at $13.00 hourly, and requires patience, creativity and a friendly, outgoing demeanor. Responsibilities include planning activities, one-on-one visits, maintaining records, supervising residents, and transporting participants.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Pleasant, outgoing personality with creativity.
• Experience in nursing facility preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of Rest Haven and Resident information.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Criminal history clearance: Act 169 and Act 13.

Mansioni

• Plan, organize, and implement programs for residents at different functional levels.
• Visit residents one-on-one to provide companionship and activities.
• Maintain resident records of activities attended and 1:1 visits.
• Supervise residents during activities to ensure safety.
• Transport residents to and from activities and participate in care plan meetings.
• Participate in fundraising for the Resident Recreation Fund and support QAPI initiatives.
