Resthaven is seeking a Recreational Therapy Aide (RTA) to plan, coordinate, and lead engaging activities for residents in a full-time role. The position emphasizes meaningful group and one-on-one activities, fostering connections with residents, families, and staff.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, flexibility for evenings and weekends, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading group activities for older adults.
• Ability to engage residents and coordinate activities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends/evenings/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging group activities for residents.
• Provide meaningful one-on-one activities tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Document resident participation and attendance per department guidelines.
• Assist with development and implementation of the monthly activity calendar.
• Support and coordinate volunteers participating in resident programs and events.
• Prepare activity spaces and maintain supplies, equipment, and program areas.
• Participate in resident outings, special events, and transportation activities as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and interdisciplinary team members.
