Job summary

Job Haines Home is seeking an Activity Aide to support an ongoing program of activities for residents, working under the Activities Director. You will help implement engaging activities and coordinate with other departments to ensure safety, comfort, and enjoyment for residents.

The role requires high school education, with preference for prior long-term care experience and optional talents such as crafts or music.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Experience in a Long-term Care or Residential setting preferred.
• Special talents such as crafts or ability to play a musical instrument preferred.
• Must read, write and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activities Director in implementing an ongoing program of activities meeting residents' interests and needs.
• Coordinate activities and work with other departments as necessary.
• Transport residents safely to activities and assist in documenting attendance and calendars.
• Maintain supplies and assist in training volunteers and staff as required.
