Haven of Paris is seeking a compassionate, energetic Part-Time Activity Aide to enrich residents' daily lives with meaningful socialization, recreation, and personal expression. You will facilitate group and individual activities, support participation in events, and help manage the monthly activity calendar, while collaborating with the care team to promote engagement and quality of life.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a social, recreational, or activities program, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, positive, and resident-focused attitude
• Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to engaging residents
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow established policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities based on residents’ needs, interests, abilities, and preferences as identified through assessments and care plans
• Encourage and support resident participation in daily activities, programs, and special events
• Assist with planning, organizing, and maintaining the monthly activity calendar
• Help prepare activity supplies, materials, and spaces
• Provide encouragement and positive interaction with residents during activities
• Complete required documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Support Resident Council activities and assist with scheduling and facilitating monthly meetings
• Collaborate with members of the care team to promote resident engagement and quality of life
• Follow and maintain established facility policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Promote a positive, engaging, respectful, and inclusive environment for all residents
