Job summary

The Alps at Wayne Rehab & Care Center is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Recreation Aide to support daily activities for residents. You will help plan, lead, and participate in group and individual activities, fostering engagement, friendship, and meaningful experiences for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading daily recreational and social activities.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests and abilities.
• Help organize games, arts and crafts, music, trivia, entertainment, and other group activities.
• Provide one-on-one activities and companionship for residents who prefer individual engagement.
• Assist with special events, holiday programs, celebrations, and community activities.
• Help prepare and organize activity supplies and spaces.
• Encourage socialization and positive interaction among residents.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and learn about their interests and preferences.
• Assist residents with getting to and participating in scheduled activities.
• Maintain a welcoming, positive, and inclusive atmosphere.
• Work closely with the Recreation/Activities team and other departments to support resident engagement.
