Sheepshead Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New York's Sheepshead Bay community is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Recreation Aide to enrich residents' lives through engaging activities that support physical, emotional, and social well-being.

You will join our warm, patient-centered team to organize and lead group activities, assist with one-on-one programs, help with virtual visits, and foster a welcoming atmosphere across a 200-bed facility—making a measurable difference in residents'

Qualifications

• Healthcare or recreation setting experience is a plus.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and genuine interest in working with seniors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead group activities and one-on-one programs for residents.
• Distribute newspapers, mail, and packages.
• Record attendance and resident participation.
• Escort residents to and from activity areas.
• Assist with virtual visits (Zoom/FaceTime).
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.
• Support the recreation team with tasks as assigned.
