Job summary

Storage Asset Management, a property management and consulting company specializing in self-storage, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Prior Lake, MN. You will oversee day-to-day operations and lead a team to provide outstanding service to tenants, while promoting rental growth.

This role emphasizes sales, client engagement, and facility upkeep; candidates should have strong communication, be energetic, and open to new ideas. Flexible scheduling and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
• Open availability including weekends is needed.
• Ability to perform light maintenance and overall property upkeep.
• Management experience in leasing, retail, or operation environment.
• Previous experience in sales or marketing with a proven ability to generate business and close leads.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be energetic and open to new ideas and direction changes.
• A High School diploma /GED equivalent. College education a plus
• Must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift 25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Be the sales champion, converting inquiries into immediate storage rentals
• Elevate the customer experience with engaging facility tours
• Ensure the facility is impeccably clean and well-maintained
• Execute daily facility inspections for premium presentation
• Strategically implement marketing plans following guidelines
• Establish a visible presence in local professional associations and community functions
• Participate in tailored sales training and industry events
• Mentor and empower assistant managers with your sales acumen
• Proactively manage rent collections and fees
• Maintain precise accounting records with transparency
