Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate to ensure accurate, productive, and safe handling of merchandise in our distribution facility. Shift runs 11AM until work is done, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

You will select items to ship, palletize, wrap, operate handling equipment, and cross-train across areas while maintaining safety and quality standards. Experience in warehouse/operations is preferred; candidates should be able to stand for long periods, reach overhead,

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach at the shoulder, above shoulder and below shoulder on a frequent basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, squat, push and pull on a frequent basis.
• Ability to operate equipment on a continuous basis.
• Ability to remove pallets from slots.
• Good judgement is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Experience in warehouse/operations preferred.

Job Overview:

Effectively handle the flow of merchandise throughout the distribution facility in an accurate, productive and safe manner.

Shift Schedule: 11AM – Until the work is done; must be able to work FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY (Part-Time)

Skills and Abilities:

• Understand all unload procedures and the proper staging of all return products.

• Understanding of batching sheets, load sheets, pallet counts, cubing and depart times.

• Ability to make decisions about the proper blending of repack and grocery stops togethers.

• Physical, requirements include twisting, turning, bending and climbing.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
