Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Screening Operations) in Indianapolis, IN. You will screen employees, visitors, and belongings, provide customer service, and enforce access control at a logistics site.

The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to use screening equipment while maintaining a professional presence. Qualifications include a high school diploma and background; prior customer service and X-ray screening experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with site requirements and access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
