Job summary

Allied Universal in Reading, PA is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced for part-time patrol and communications responsibilities. You will provide customer service, perform security procedures, and respond to incidents while maintaining a safe campus environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Proficiency with computers or tablets.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behaviour, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
