Allied Universal in Mertztown, PA is seeking a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time, offering fixed evening hours and the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. This role emphasizes dependable hours, customer service, and security presence at a chemical and petrochemical location.

Responsibilities include enforcing site policies, responding to incidents, monitoring access, and maintaining logs while supporting a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout facilities to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Report unusual conditions or security concerns to site personnel and leadership.
