Job summary

Allied Universal in Paulsboro, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Part Time TWIC Credential Driver to protect facilities at a chemical/petrochemical location and support access control.

You will drive on site, verify credentials, monitor entries, perform patrols, and respond to incidents, while delivering excellent customer service. This flexible schedule role offers growth opportunities within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, screening authorized personnel and vehicles, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Observe access points, alarms, cameras, and communication systems; report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, evacuations, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
