Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Port Arthur, TX. The role focuses on access control at a chemical/petrochemical site, providing customer service while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

The position requires 6+ months security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work day shifts on Tue, Wed, and Thu. Training and potential growth opportunities are available with Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors, and maintaining visitor-entry records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control activity and security-related concerns.
